It was a rainy day, and I was headed home. The day had been a tough one and I was tempted to murmur under my breath, “this has been an awful day!” But before those words flew out of my mouth, I looked across the upcoming bridge and viewed the most beautiful rainbow. It was breathtaking! As I came out from under the bridge, to my right, were about nine of the most beautiful deer grazing on the wet ground. I found myself saying “awe” out loud. The rainbow and the deer were an attitude check of the beautiful things in life, even on what seems like a tough day. On the rest of the trip home, I counted my blessings out loud and the day instantly flipped. There were many blessings when I took the time to count them. It is amazing how an awful day can turn into an awe-full day when we flip the script to gratitude and take a break to look around. Allow yourself more moments of awe, wonder, inspiration, and grace. You deserve them, and you need them.
Have an awe-full Thursday!
