Over two decades ago, we planted this tree when we constructed our home. Its significance lies in a unique tale. Many years back, we received the disheartening news that our favorite tree was afflicted with a disease, and its survival for the upcoming season seemed improbable. The suggestion was to cut it down and replace it. My affection for the tree ran deep, and the thought of cutting it down just made me sad. Despite the grim prognosis, we decided to pour our prayers into it, hoping for a miraculous recovery from the severe ailment eating away at its trunk. The adversity it faced was evident as the trunk bore a conspicuous scar, a testament to the fierce battle it endured. Behold the tree now! Despite the challenges, it stands resilient, more beautiful than ever. I am thankful for this tree. Sometimes the little things in life are really big things, with big lessons.
