Sitting in yet another waiting room, I felt restless and impatient. It seemed my whole day was consumed by waiting. In that quiet moment, I reflected on how much of our lives we spend waiting – from traffic lights to life-changing news.
Perhaps you’re waiting too: for health results, a job offer, an apology, or a relationship to mend. Waiting can feel like weakness in our fast-paced world, but I’ve learned it’s actually empowering.
Psalm 27:14 reminds us, “Wait on the LORD … He shall strengthen your heart.” This verse has given me courage during my most challenging waiting seasons. I’ve come to understand that the ‘why’ of waiting often reveals itself later. God uses these moments to strengthen us, bring clarity, and prepare us for what’s next.
Looking back, I see how God worked in my waiting rooms, healing my soul and setting the stage for answered prayers – just not in the way I expected.
Whatever you’re waiting for, know this: your wait isn’t wasted time, it’s an investment. God is preparing and strengthening your heart. He is always, always worth the wait.
