Dear Lisa Bain Ministries,

You don’t know me but I am the sister of a man you helped at the cancer treatment center.  He was receiving one of his last chemotherapy treatments.  You visited. He said he was very hateful to you when you made the visit, but after you blessed him with special gifts, even a gas card, and spent time listening and sharing stories with him, he felt as if he made a new friend. That doesn’t happen often with my brother.  He was very bitter and angry about his cancer, and was given only weeks to live when you saw him.

I want you to know that my brother was never the same after that visit.  He carried his stuffed Mabel pup around, and was always covered in his prayer quilt.  It never left his side.  My brother changed that day.  I saw him smile for the first time since I can even remember.  I saw hope in his eyes.  I want you to know that he lived those last few weeks of his life with a joy I had never seen.  In fact he asked to be buried with his stuffed pup and prayer quilt.  He passed peacefully and we know He is home now.  Thank you for making an eternal difference in my brothers life.   The short time you spent with him changed the remaining days of his life.  I am eternally grateful for your ministry and for caring about my brother.

Sincerely,
Jean H.
