Cancer Warrior Resilience Care Boxes

Walking through cancer can bring feelings of loneliness, despair, and fear. We know how meaningful it is for a patient to receive encouragement at just the right time. Our Cancer Warrior Resilience Boxes and Bags are filled with items to bring practical help and warm comfort on the cancer journey: prayer quilts, money/gas cards, snack/spa bags, stuffed Mabel Joy pups, handmade necklace, gratitude journal, tote bag, t-shirt, candle, and, of course, a party hat to celebrate every moment of life! These items are designed to make treatment easier and bring a smile to the face of each patient. Boxes and bags are packed prayerfully, and we include a personal note of encouragement for each recipient. Our therapy dogs Mabel and Maddie are with us on many of the delivery visits, and their presence brings much-needed laughter and warm fur to snuggle into. Last year, we provided 1,811 boxes and bags to patients, and our goal is to double that number in 2024.
