Lisa Bain is an author, speaker, and founder who shares her story of illness, loss, and journey through broken relationships, with the hope that she can help others on their journey toward freedom and self-acceptance. As the founder of Lisa Bain Ministries, Lisa believes that when we step out of our boxes of fear and doubt, we are able to step into the amazing treasures God has waiting for us. Lisa is also passionate about animal therapy, and uses her therapy dogs to help spread love and light to those who are hurting. She and her husband Skipper live in Tulsa and have four children, one grandson, and one on the way.

Carol Power is passionate about letting others know that Jesus loves them no matter what they are going through, and she believes in showing kindness along the way. She started at From the Heart Wholesale Jewelry after working as an elementary school teacher and a veterinarian assistant. She has been with From the Heart for sixteen years. Carol has five children and ten grandchildren.

Jodi Letteer has been a full-time oncology nurse for 25 years, and currently works at Oklahoma Cancer Specialists and Research Institute and for a local hospice. She is active in LifeChurch and serves on the host team and the special ops teams. She describes herself as a community leader who is passionate about taking care of God’s people. Jodi enjoys spending time with her two grown children, and her amazing grandson, along with her dogs. She is an avid reader and a fan of the Green Bay Packers and owns a share of the team.

Skipper Bain served as a Tulsa Police Officer for 32 years, working in patrol at all three divisions and as a motorcycle officer, earning many awards for his public service. He was the Special Events Unit Sergeant and Tulsa Police Reserve Coordinator before retiring in 2010. Skipper is a graduate of Northeastern State University with a BS in Environmental Management. Since 2010, he has been working as the Special Events Coordinator for the city of Tulsa. Skipper and Lisa are the proud parents of two sons, two daughters, one grandson and one on the way. Skipper and Lisa live in Tulsa with therapy dogs Mabel and Maddie.

Abbi Lee is a business owner, content creator, and certified yoga instructor whose expertise includes mission building, program development and evaluation, fundraising/donor retention, grant writing, advocacy, volunteer management and disaster relief. She has built several statewide and international programs through collaborations with Partners in Health, Americares, Cancer Treatment Centers of America, Choctaw Nation, Walmart and others. Her mission is to create space and provide resources for women to become their best selves, mentally, physically, and spiritually, and fulfill the dreams God has given them. She is currently working on her PhD with a focus on the women’s health care system specifically in Haiti. Abbi lives on a cattle ranch in Oklahoma with her husband and two children.

Kathy LaFortune is a licensed attorney and psychologist in Oklahoma who currently works at the Tulsa County Juvenile Bureau as a forensic psychologist. She has published articles in peer-review journals on issues of competency to stand trial, juvenile competence, and she is a writer for the Judicial Notebook column for the American psychologist Association Monitor. She previously worked at Eastern State Hospital, Rader Treatment Center for Juveniles, The Oklahoma Indigent Defense System and Congressman Jim Bridenstine. She graduated from Duke University and received her law and psychology degrees from University of Tulsa. Kathy is married to district Judge William LaFortune and was recently named to the state Board of Corrections by Gov. Kevin Stitt.

Hope Rogers is the Director of Operations for E3 Bookkeeping and was previously staff accountant for Service King Manufacturing and Gordon Brothers in Stroud, Oklahoma. Her resume includes working as the Comptroller and Office Manager for Green Country Soils in Miami, Oklahoma. Hope was born and raised in Sapulpa, Oklahoma, and is married with three children and three grandchildren.

Linda Williams is a breast cancer survivor who learned that helping other people during her own battle kept her mind off worries and brought her joy. She and Lisa met shortly after her own struggle with cancer and was moved by how Lisa and her mother found their joy in the midst of the difficult battles they were facing. After that first meeting, Linda immediately knew she wanted to be involved in the work. Linda is proud of what Lisa does and her passion to bless others. She is honored to be supporting Lisa Bain Ministries and to help give hope, care, and love to so many people.

Shelly Crynes has worked in non-profit development for over twenty years and has experience with all forms of fundraising. Shelly grew up in Stillwater and graduated from OSU with a BS and a MA in Political Science. While previously living in Tulsa she spent eight years working for The Little Light House. She now lives on her family’s farm in Yale. She enjoys spending her time in the country with her family and her spoiled pup. She especially loves it when her grandchildren come to visit. In her spare time, she enjoys learning about sustainable agriculture,  working in her organic garden, and reading.  Shelly’s desire to love and serve hurting people is what brought her to Lisa Bain Ministries.  Shelly helps the ministry with grant writing.

Sheryl was born in Montana, raised in California, but has been an Okie for over 40 years. Sheryl worked in the office at a private Christian school for 15 years, then worked for an oil related company as Administrative Assistant for 20 years. It was through a fellow employee of that company that she became acquainted with Lisa Bain Ministries. From that introductory meeting with Lisa and hearing the story of how Lisa Bain Ministries began, she was hooked!  Sheryl is hands on and you will see her working events, helping our senior heroes on visit days, and delivering care boxes.  Whatever the need, she is there.  Sheryl has been involved in nursing home ministries with her husband for many years, so being able to continue in that ministry with Lisa Bain Ministries has been a joy. She and her husband have two wonderful children and four awesome grandsons.

Lauren has a passion for helping people see their extreme value and worth. She graduated from Oral Roberts University with a double major in Music and Communications. Lauren earned her master’s degree in Radio, TV and Film from Regent University. She has 32 years of media experience, and is a college professor, having held positions at Trevecca Nazarene University in Nashville and Azusa Pacific University in Los Angeles. Lauren is on the advisory board of New Beginnings Adoption Agency and hosts a Christian morning talk show. Lauren and her husband Robin have six children, and a plethora of pups.

She has been a radio host spanning 8 states, and her guests encompassed all walks of life, even First Lady Barbara Bush. She is the owner of Your Story Speaks, LLC and is involved in writing services and coaching, which allows her to use her experience hosting over 5000 shows to connect with businesses and nonprofits to help tell impactful and insightful stories. She lives in Green Country with her son Spencer and loves singing, journaling, music, and spending time with friends and family.
