Friendship

Let’s talk about friends – the ones who stand with you through the good times, the bad days, and love you deeply, warts and all. These are the friends who never stop praying. With so much sickness going around, our prayer group is gathering on FaceTime and Zoom. Today was one of the most powerful prayers times we’ve ever experienced, even though we had distance separating us. Although we are all weary of meeting “at the screens,” it does allow us to be with someone and pray any time of the day. This year, these ladies have been there, sometimes multiple times a day! I am so thankful for the clarity God brought this year, especially in relationships. This season has made me cherish those truly authentic friendships more than ever. The friends I met with today are the real deal, speaking life over my family and me when we are sick, facing hurdles and life challenges. They are there at the drop of a hat. These prayer warriors even helped me finish my vision board this week, with one of my biggest pictures on the board coming to fruition only two days after it was finished! Can you hear me cheering over here? But they are not surprised. They knew it would happen.

Hold your friends close and cherish that authenticity and the prayers lifted by those who know you best. As one of those dear friends said today, “we need to lift each other up more than ever in this season.” She is right. My dear sisters gave me a great gift today – one of prayer, support, and encouragement. It just doesn’t get better than that.
